Malwarebytes system scan

1. Go to the official Malwarebytes antivirus website and click “Free Download”.

2. Run the downloaded Malwarebytes installer and click the “Install” button.

3. From the device types, select the “Personal” category and click the “Next” button.

4. A suggestion to install the “Browser Guard” extension will appear. Click the “Skip this step (not recommended)” button.

5. Wait for the application installation process to complete, it may take some time.

6. Click “Open Malwarebytes” button to make the application interface appear on the screen.

7. The Malwarebytes application interface will appear on the screen. Click the “Skip” button.

8. An offer to purchase a licence will appear. Click the “Maybe later” button to continue.

9. Enter a valid email address in the special field. Then click the “Continue with free trial” button to obtain a temporary licence.

10. A notification will appear that the licence has been successfully obtained. Click the “Got it” button.

11. On the left side, click on “Settings” and go to “Scan and detections”.

12. Switch on the “Check for rootkits” option and return to the dashboard.

13. Press the “Scan” button. Wait for it to complete. Quarantine any threats found.

14. Reboot the device. After that, the Malwarebytes application can be uninstalled from your device.
