Crow Arena mode

To celebrate the ninth birthday of the STALCRAFT game, we are introducing a temporary Crow Arena mode!

General mode rules

The Crow Arena mode is a PvP-PvE mode where players use the equipment given to them.

Two teams of 5 players each defend their own installations with a special Ball against waves of mutants.

During the 25 rounds, they will have to face a variety of bosses, as well as each other.

A team is deemed to have lost if its Ball has been destroyed or has fewer end strength points left than their opponents one.

The Ball has a certain damage threshold that cannot be exceeded in a single round.

Gameplay description

The rounds in the match alternate. The first three rounds are monster battles, followed by a boss and then a gladiator battle. Then there are three waves of monsters again.

Each round also has a timer during which the action takes place, whether it's the appearance of mutants or a fight with the other team.

Between rounds, you are given a little rest time to buy new equipment.

Shop

The Crow Arena mode shop is integrated directly into the inventory. At any time, the player can buy or sell something for Arena Tokens, which can be obtained during a match.

This currency will be displayed in the top right-hand corner of your inventory:

Items in the shop

Any of the items can appear in each of the 5 slots:

  1. Weapons;
  2. Suits;
  3. Backpacks;
  4. Artefacts;
  5. Containers for artefacts;
  6. Improvement tools.

Almost everything that is now available in barter can also be found in the shop of this mode.

Be aware that items with a coloured background are improvement drawings and not full-fledged versions of the gear.

Gear upgrades

During the game, participants have to improve their gear by buying the necessary blueprints. The original item and three blueprints for the next item in the branch are needed to improve it.

For example, in order to get an MP5, a player needs to have an IMI Uzi and three MP5 blueprints in the inventory. The upgrade occurs automatically.

The table shows the improvement branches. They can also be viewed by hovering the cursor over an item.

The three bars on the left side of the gear indicate the number of existing blueprints.

In this image, the player has 2 blueprints out of 3.

Range limitation

Each item in the shop is limited in quantity. This means that during one match both teams cannot buy more than 7 Kedrs or, for example, 9 Centurion blueprints.

Shop update

At the beginning of each round, the shop is updated with new items. You can prevent this update by using the lock button.

It is also possible to refresh the shop independently with the appropriate button, but this will cost a certain amount of money.

Economics

The main currency within the mode is the so-called Arena Tokens. The maximum the player can hold is 999 coins. These Tokens can be spent by the player to buy and upgrade items.

How to obtain Arena Tokens currency:

  1. At the end of a regular wave, all players in the team receive 20 coins + 10 coins for each player who survives the wave.
  2. For every 10 coins at the end of a round, the player receives 1 extra coin. This interest cannot exceed 30 coins.
  3. For Bosses. When defeating a Boss, the reward is doubled. Players receive 40 coins + 20 for each player who survives the wave. If the boss is not defeated by the end of the timer, players receive the regular reward.
  4. For PvP rounds. The winning team receives 140 coins each, the losing team 70 coins each.

Update of items costs 20 coins. Price table in the shop:

The sale price depends on the equipment tier and is the equivalent of buying one item of that rank.

Gladiator battle

Every fifth round, both teams enter a separate arena. Their goal is to inflict as much damage as possible on the Monolith standing in the centre.

In the case of death, players will be revived at special spawn points and can participate in the battle again.

A special feature of this arena is that some of its areas have high levels of infection. Use the advantages of your armour.

Consumables

All consumable items in this mode are infinite and do not require slots in your inventory.

Also, they all depend on the class and rank of the armour you are wearing.
