Arena of Slavs from 20/03/2024

General gameplay rules

Arena of Slavs is a PvP and PvE mode where players use issued gear.

Two teams of Bogatyrs are defending the idols of Perun from evil lizards. Throughout the 25 rounds, they will have to face many bosses and each other.

The team whose idol has been destroyed or has less health left at the end of the 25th round is considered the loser.

To keep matches from ending quickly, there is a certain damage threshold, which the idol cannot take more than in a single round.

Gameplay description

A match consists of five repeating cycles, each with five rounds.

There is a short break between rounds to rest and buy equipment.

Duel rounds

In duel rounds, participants from different teams are divided into pairs and fight each other in isolated arenas. Winning a duel brings tokens to your team. Pairs are picked by armour type.

Bogatyr fights

Every fifth round, the participants enter a separate arena. Their goal is to damage a clutch of lizards that stands in the centre of the arena.

If the player dies, they are returned to their spawn point and can take part in the fight again.

The feature of this arena is the possibility that some of its areas may be infected. Therefore, it is important to use the strengths and weaknesses of your armour.

Shop

The Arena of Slavs mode shop is integrated right into the inventory.

At any moment, a player can buy or sell something for arena tokens, a currency that is issued during a match. It is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.

Items in shop

Any of the products can appear in each of the five slots:

  1. Weapons and Armour. Please note: items with coloured backgrounds represent blueprints for upgrades, not fully completed versions of equipment.
  2. Improvement tools.
  3. Artefacts. Instead of the “Regular” artefacts from the zone, the arena now sells a variety of interesting items. Buy a Self-Swinging Sword and chop the lizards to pieces.
  4. Modules. Upgrades from Dead Man's Marathon are back in the game. All modules can be installed on any weapon.

Gear upgrades

During the game, you can upgrade your equipment by purchasing the necessary blueprints. To upgrade, you need the original item and three blueprints of the next item in the upgrade branch.

To see the available improvement branches, you can refer to the tables in the shop section or use the pop-up tooltip by hovering your cursor over the equipment.

For example, to get an MP5, you need to have an IMI Uzi and three MP5 blueprints in your inventory. Upgrading is performed automatically.

The table shows the branches of improvement. You can also see them by hovering the cursor over an item.

The three bars on the left side of the equipment indicate the number of available blueprints. In this picture, the player has 2 blueprints out of 3.

Artefact container

When the game starts, each player is wearing a container with one slot for artefacts.

After every 5 rounds, the container receives one more slot.

Shop update

At the beginning of each round, the shop is updated with new items. You can prevent this update by using the lock button.

You can also use the appropriate button to update the shop out of turn, but it will cost you a certain amount of money.

Economics

The main currency within the mode is arena coins.

The player can spend these coins to buy and update items.

How to obtain currency

  1. At the end of a regular wave, each player in the team receives 20 coins, and another 10 coins for each player who survived the wave.
  2. For every 10 coins you receive at the end of a round, you receive 1 additional coin. This percentage cannot exceed 30 coins.
  3. For defeating a Boss, the reward is doubled. Players receive 40 coins each, as well as 20 coins for each player who survives the wave. If the Boss has not been defeated by the end of the timer, players receive the normal reward.
  4. The team receives 40 coins for each duel won. If you win 2 out of 5 duels, each player will receive 80 coins.
  5. For each PVP round won, the winning team receives 140 coins and the losing team receives 70 coins.

Sale

The sale sum depends on the equipment tier and is equivalent to buying one item of that rank.

Consumables

All consumables in this mode are infinite and do not take up slots in your inventory.

All of them depend on the class and rank of the armour worn.

The tools are used according to the attachment system: you have to drag the tool onto a piece of equipment.

Passive abilities

After each round against a player (including duels and bogatyr Brawls), each bogatyr can choose one enhancement from the three available.

Each enhancement can be re-selected twice, thus improving it.
