Introduction
STALCRAFT is moving to a new stage of its history and, as sad as it is, we need to start renaming many entities to avoid problems in the future.
Accepting changes to things that are already familiar is always hard, but it is normal. Change is necessary primarily for security reasons, because copyright is tricky.
Even though there is no danger from this side at the moment, we don't want it to arise at any other time and prevent you from playing the new STALCRAFT: X.
The whole team has a deep respect for the Stalker universe. That's why, although we will do our own thing, we will try to stay as close to this universe as the copyright allows without harming both sides.
In fact, many people have reacted differently to the new names, and it's understandable why. They are simply different, unusual, unfamiliar and therefore seem out of place. They take a little getting used to. Naturally, the force of habit will not allow you to reorganize at once, and for some time the old names will be confused with the new ones. But gradually the new names will get anchored in the players' vocabulary and will be as familiar as the current names. In addition, in the case of artifacts, not only the names but also the models have been redesigned, at times so much so that the old names no longer fit.
We really hope that this introduction will help you understand the purpose of the name changes and accept them more quickly.
