Christmas Tree event

The time has come when the Zone is covered in a white veil and researchers begin to decorate their bases with Christmas decorations, listening to the sounds of holiday chants on the radio. The holiday is approaching, so it's time to decorate the tree and get your presents!

Temporary quest line “A Voice From the Other Side”

A New Year's Eve is here. While civilians are decorating their shelters and bases, the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has visitors. The Scientist Professor Nicholas and the Snowmen from The Inside Out both have their own jobs and their own gifts for you. But someone is missing. And where is our Snow Maiden? What happened to her?

Meanwhile, amidst the icy cold and howling winds, the call for help is being heard. And those who dare to answer the call will be drawn into the flywheel of events, the echoes of which will make itself known.

The quest line is available until the end of the season event.

The Snowstorm

The Snowstorm is a temporary but large-scale event that occurs between the usual eruption. It covers the entire Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, except for the Lyubech-3 and Stillwaters locations.

In the similar way as the eruption, the announcer warns of an approaching snowstorm that lasts approximately 30 minutes.

During a snowstorm, visibility is limited, and Cold infection is imposed. The norther the location of the player is, the stronger is the effect of the infection.

The Weathermen continue to work through the winter. Predictions of approaching snowstorms have been added to the location.

Consumables

The following consumables are available for cold reduction from the Merchant:

Warming Serum;
Alcohol;
Lighter;
Experimental Thermoplate.

Crates of consumables appear in the open world to help you deal with the snowstorm. In addition to the above items, there are also:

Emergency First-Aid Kit;
Frosty Vodka.

Also, in addition to consumables, players will be helped to cope with the storm by the most common campfire. Yup, it's keeping you warm! When the Heaters are in a free state, within a certain radius, they help you to drain the Cold from your body.

Snowstorm activity

During the snowstorm, winter artefacts begin to appear, and ordinary events are replaced with their frosty versions.

Some events need to be completed first so that frosty versions can take their place.

There are also mutant bosses that may appear on the locations. There are four types of it.

Anomalous Contract Supplier

During the storm, special contracts are available to players to deliver packages to the Frost Fighters. Depending on the contract chosen, a player can get a Small, Large or Huge Gift Box. But don't forget — the time is limited.

The packages warm their owner and all the nearby players within a five-meter radius.

Yet, be careful! If one tries to get rid of the package, the time runs out or the player dies by an external factor, the package will explode and release fireworks.

New frost artefact

A new artefact has formed under a large snowdrift — Chilly.

Friendly reminder: The frost artefacts can be found during the snowstorm only.

Christmas Tree

Every player now has their own Christmas Tree on the safe zone that is to be decorated with Christmas Tree decorations. Every decoration boosts the Christmas Tree with a certain amount of points and levels up the Christmas Tree.

All the decorations are combined by sets the more strictly the player adheres to a certain set while decorating the Christmas Tree, the higher its level becomes. The decorations' rarity also affects the Christmas Tree level.

For each set of decorations collected, the player receives themed rewards in the form of paints and keychains!

Interaction with the Christmas Tree is done through an interface where you can change decorations, track its level and look at your friends' Christmas Trees.

The level of the Christmas Tree affects the daily rewards that will appear under it — the higher the level, the better the rewards. The rewards are refreshed at 12 AM (GMT+3).

Added the ability to select a specific set of Christmas Tree decorations from the corresponding list.

Gifts

The gifts can be received in the following activities:

Gathering and decorations;
With a slight chance from open world events;
New Year Airdrops;
Daily login rewards;
Daily and weekly Season Pass tasks;
Session Battles modes: Standoff, Dead Time and Subdivision Battles;
For every new Season Pass level. By the time you log in into the game, you will receive the gifts for the level you have already reached.

Now for each opened gift a player can get not only a toy, but also a second item, specifically an upgrading material, a useful consumable or a small amount of trade coins!
The quality of the upgrading material, the consumable, or the amount of coins depends on the type of gift.

Christmas Tree decorations

The decorations of one level can be combined, so don't be in a hurry to throw away duplicate Christmas tree decorations. Combining them will give you an upgraded decoration, which gives more Christmas Tree points.

There is no limit to the number of decoration improvements in this case.

You can combine decorations either with a special button on the side panel or directly in the Christmas Tree decorations selection menu.

Decorations can no longer be sold to the Exchanger for season currency.

Once the season event is over, gifts, and decorations for the Christmas Tree will be removed from the game.

Shelf for Christmas Tree decorations

A separate shelf has been added to each player's personal storage area just for Christmas Tree decorations.

Ten times bigger the standard personal storage shelf.

When you open gifts, all new toys will automatically transfer to this shelf and be highlighted with a special frame.

The Snowman

New mechanic for the Christmas Tree that affects Christmas Tree decorations.

You can feed The Snowman spare decorations. In return, he will supply you with the special coals and glasses for the Christmas Tree. Also, the Snowman's carrot will get longer... No, that's not what you thought… Literally... just a carrot.

We recommend you to check the Snowman's behavior depending on the number of decorations eaten.

The extra points go directly into the Christmas Tree leadership board without taking into account the various modifiers.

Coals can be used in the Snowman's lottery.

This lottery's goal is to get four special rewards. Once the goal is reached, the player gets all the rewards from the card — both already opened using coals and those that remain closed.

After closing 5 cards, the Turboman Card х10 will appear. The same as Snowman's Card, but the rewards are 10 times greater. But the cost of the opening one is 10 times higher as well.

Don't forget to pay close attention to what decorations you feed to the Snowman. Filtering and sorting features have been added to the Feed the Snowman menu to avoid losing valuable decorations.

The Grinch

The Grinch appears on the Scrapyard and Forge-11 locations. He offers a unique skin "Grinch" and a New Year's issue of STALBOY magazine in exchange for gifts. Good luck with the search!

Leadership board

When your Christmas Tree reach the 7th level, you can compete in the most beautiful Christmas Tree competition.

The results will be displayed in the leadership board, allowing you to track your current position and the number of points you need to win.

Final result will be shown at the end of the season event. Each participant will receive a reward based on their place on the leadership board.

New Year cases

Cases of various levels are available for purchase with the Mnemoschemes season currency. But the maximum case level a player can purchase is equal to the maximum level of the Xmas Tree.

We recommend upgrading the Xmas Tree to level 7 to be able to purchase any level of cases.
