Issuance of upgrading compensation
The equipment modification system has been updated and is now guaranteed to give a level increase after a certain number of attempts. Therefore, we have decided to compensate the difference between the previous system and the new one.
We consider three variables for compensation:
- Current equipment modification level;
- The sum of all attempts in the new system to guaranteed upgrades to the current equipment modification level. Below is the “Sum of all guaranteed upgrades”;
- All previous attempts made to modify the equipment (taking into account the previous equipment in the barter branch and the barter modification level transfer system). Below this is the “Sum of all attempts”.
We then compare the sum of all guaranteed upgrades and the sum of all attempts.
Weapons and equipment obtained during additional or plot quests are not included in the compensation.
For compensation calculations, attempts to modify equipment from 08:00 (MSC) on 15 February 2023 are taken into account.

If compensation is available, the sum of all attempts before the update is subtracted from the sum of all guaranteed upgrades, and the resulting number goes into the guaranteed upgrade counter.
If the number is higher than the required number of attempts before guaranteed upgrade, the equipment is upgraded to the modification level (the remaining attempts go into the new level counter).
If the equipment reaches level 15 or already has level 15 of modification during the subtraction of attempts before the guaranteed modification, the remaining attempts will be converted into advanced tools and spare parts in the following proportion: 1 attempt — 1 advanced tool and 2 advanced spare parts.
The advanced parts and tools issued will have a timer for a 30-day use period.
There is also an upper issue limit: you can get a maximum of 200 advanced parts and 200 advanced tools.
Examples of compensation
The table below shows the performance of the new system with the number of attempts up to the guaranteed upgrade at each level and the cumulative sum of guaranteed upgrades up to each level.

Example 1:
Over the last year, the player made 150 attempts to improve the RPD and stopped at level 12 of modification. The sum of all guaranteed upgrades under the new system up to level 12 is equal to 190 attempts, that is more than the sum of all attempts. Therefore, the player does not receive compensation.
Example 2:
During the last year, the player made 260 attempts to improve the RPD and stopped at level 13 of modification. The sum of all guaranteed upgrades under the new system up to level 13 is equal to 240 attempts, that is less than the sum of all attempts. Therefore, the player gets the difference of 20 attempts in the guaranteed equipment upgrade counter.
Example 3:
Over the last year, the player made 170 attempts to upgrade the RPD and stopped at level 10 of modification. The sum of all guaranteed upgrades under the new system up to level 10 is equal to 115 attempts, that is less than the sum of all attempts. Therefore, the player gets the difference of 55 attempts in the guaranteed equipment upgrade counter. However, the difference of 55 attempts is higher than the number of attempts before the guaranteed upgrade to the next level 11 (35), so the RPD automatically gets +1 modification level and 20 (55 - 35) attempts in the guaranteed upgrade counter.
Example 4:
Over the last year, the player made 380 attempts to improve RPD and stopped at level 14 of modification. The sum of all guaranteed upgrades under the new system up to level 14 is equal to 300 attempts, that is less than the sum of all attempts. Therefore, the player gets the difference of 80 attempts in the guaranteed equipment upgrade counter. However, the difference of 80 attempts is higher than the number of attempts before the guaranteed upgrade to the next level 15 (70), therefore the RPD will automatically get +1 level of upgrade and the player will get 10 advanced tools and 20 advanced spares.
